The Zen of Photography
I began my journey behind the lens in 1976. Prior to that I spent a good deal of time in front of the lens, acting under the name Lindy Davis (Go ahead and Google me, or check out my IMDB page).
My first camera was a Pentax Spotmatic, gifted to me by my father. The machine captured images on an ancient medium known as "film". The entire process was manual: ASA (film speed), F-stop, and shutter speed were all adjusted manually. And that was before the photographer was required to draw a tight focus on a subject that was seldom stationary. Not an easy task.
After discharge from the U.S. Air Force, I headed home to Hollywood to resume my acting career. When I wasn't working one side of the lens, I was working the other, providing head shots for the Film Industry.
Nowadays, I spend my time in Humboldt County, in a compound above Clam Beach.
I enjoy photographing nature, my Aussie dogs, Blue and Reilly, and tinkering with Photoshop and Lightroom. I also enjoy strumming my vintage Martin D-35 whilst howling at the moon.
